ScotPAG’s 2025 Memorable Moments

Here at ScotPAG we are surveying the scene that was 2025. We find ourselves completely spoiled for choice regarding the selection of the most outstanding gender identity ideology memorable moments … or perhaps better named, catastrophes and conundrums of 2025. For the purposes of our final blog for 2025, we decided to pick ten significant events and give them ScotPAG scores based on the following 3 criteria:

- Game changing

- Media straddling

- Ridiculousness….(NB this descriptor was used only sparingly when 100% deserved!)

It has been quite a year!

1. The For Women Scotland Supreme Court Ruling April 16th

Speculation was rife about what the actual judgement outcome would be right up until the judges made their pronouncement. The whoops of joy from women around the UK, resonated throughout that day and for the rest of the week. Women’s Rights organisations across the land (and the world) were completely vindicated. Here’s one description of many, from a ScotPAG member who gathered with other women in Edinburgh:

ree

‘The tension in the room was palpable in the build up to Justice Hodge’s announcement. I sobbed with excitement and relief…..It was the first time in my life I came close to feeling what it’s like for most men when their country just scored the winning goal in the world cup!’

2. JK Rowlings' Cigar

What a fabulously cheeky follow-up gesture in celebration of the above! What metaphorical balls!

3. Sandie Peggie v NHS Fife Tribunal

ree

ScotPAG covered the twists and turns of the Sandie Peggie tribunal throughout its interminable passage during July.

It was a revealing demonstration of how gender ideology ties its supporters up in knots when logical points are made and reasonable questions are asked. This is an ideological movement that corrupts and potentially can destroy organisations.

It can also make organisations and their managers look absolutely ridiculous:

Not to mention, it can cause members of the public to learn to completely mistrust all public institutions….why wouldn’t we?

4. Disclosure Scotland Discloses…

ScotPAG wrote to DS at the end of August regarding their policy about individuals who stated that they were ‘transgender’.

ree

We discovered that Disclosure Scotland is captured by gender identity ideology and is supportive of self-ID which of course is not in keeping with the Supreme Court Ruling and completely compromises safeguarding protocols.

5. National Library Women Won’t Wheesht

The important Women’s Rights book 'Women Won’t Wheesht' is a book of essays commenting on various issues concerning the erosion of women and girls’ rights including arguments critical of gender identity ideology.

ree

It was edited by Lucy Blackburn and Susan Dalgety. During August, news broke that it was initially banned by the National Library. of Scotland from its ‘Dear Library’ exhibition, despite being nominated many times for inclusion. It was eventually reinstated into the exhibition following a major public outcry.

6. BBC Uncovered

In November, whistleblower Michael Prescott (a former advisor on the BBC’s Editorial Guidelines and Standards Committee), described the BBC's bias as, ‘institutional capture by a pro-trans cabal'.

The BBC has tried to pretend that the issue was about a one-off, mistaken editorial judgement aimed at President Trump. The BBC has, it would appear, learned nothing, and has continued on its journey of woke madness. It is engineering its very own demise.

7. Anne Woodhouse’s Tribunal

ree

Three years ago, Dr Anne Woodhouse started living through a nightmare of persecution. She became the subject of a vexatious complaint by John Naples Campbell, a depute headteacher in Highland Council who is an LGBTQ activist & part-time drag queen. Naples Campbell complained to Dr Woodhouse’s regulatory body the HCPC. Rather than establishing the truth and context of the matter, the HCPC took Naples Campbell’s complaint at face value and pushed for a tribunal which was held in early December, only for the panel to decide there was no case to answer. As for the HCPC, it demonstrated itself to be entirely foolish and another public institution captured and corrupted!

8. Outcome of Sandie Peggie V NHS Fife Tribunal

To date, and to the complete embarrassment of the judiciary, the employment tribunal outcome ruling has been issued or indeed reissued for a third time, with 11 more errors noted. The new certificate of correction was issued on 23rd December. And we hear that there are more corrections to follow!

ree

Roll on Sandie Peggie’s appeal date! We will be watching! We think the Scottish Government needs to issue a directive for all public bodies to follow the Supreme Court Ruling.

ScotPAG Score : Ridiculousness 100%

9. Puberty Blockers Trial

Along with many other organisations, ScotPAG submitted a letter to Wes Streeting advising strongly that the trial should be be stopped from going ahead. There is no doubt that the proposed trial is unethical and unsafe and will harm all those children participating in it. It is a madness that no right thinking politician or practitioner can possibly support.

ScotPAG Score : Media straddling 100%

ScotPAG Score : Ridiculousness 100%

10. The Scottish Government’s non-engagement with ScotPAG

Our letter to Education Minister Jenny Gilruth was sent and received by her on the 19th October 2025. Despite reminders, we have yet to receive a response or an invitation to meet with her. We are a group of highly experienced professionals who really can provide helpful and expert advice about children’s development which, we would argue, Gilruth clearly needs. Such non-engagement is not only ungracious and arrogant, but bordering on the authoritarian. Jenny Gilruth is meant to be serving the people of Scotland not those of a specific ideological persuasion.

ScotPAG Score : Game changing (should be) 100%

ScotPAG Score : Media straddling (should be) 100%

ScotPAG Score : Ridiculousness 100% (absolutely is)

Well Dear Reader, ScotPAG wishes you all well for a happy and wholesome New Year.

We hope that in 2026, our politicians and public service leaders can demonstrate integrity and insightfulness. And if nothing else, we wish (probably in vain) that these individuals stop, just stop being useful idiots!
