The Scottish Union for Education (SUE) recently led an important evening online event (1st July 2026) Why Transgender Ideology Matters : Social engineering in schools. Hosted by Stuart Waiton from SUE, the event had two speakers:
Jenny Cunningham, a retired pediatrician
and Carolyn Brown, a retired educational psychologist and Convenor of ScotPAG. From the perspective of their respective professions, both speakers outlined their major concerns about the impact of transgender ideology on the Scottish education system.

The Scottish education context is dark, much darker than the average person knows. Accurate information is being suppressed by the Scottish Government, parents are being gaslit when they raise concerns in schools, and organisations such as SUE, ScotPAG, Women’s Rights Network Scotland and For Women Scotland, are being dismissed and disregarded when they raise concerns with Councils and education services.
An education scandal of major proportions is afoot in our Scottish schools. It is happening in plain sight. Children, on a daily basis, are being indoctrinated with transgender ideology. Children are being made to believe by activists in our schools that any child can change sex and that this lie must not be challenged. This has huge ramifications for safeguarding and for the psychological well-being of all school children in Scotland. Ask to see any Scottish Council’s guidance and paperwork on this and the evidence is all too obvious.
As a term, transgender remains vague and unexplainable as a concept in any real sense. It is not a protected characteristic in the Equality Act (2010). Why is this undefinable, adult term being promoted in our schools? Children are being targeted inappropriately within our education system and no-one is prepared to give a proper answer regarding why. We really do need a national conversation about the scandal that is going on in our Scottish schools.
